THERAPISTS

Hand therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper extremity of the body, including the shoulder. Hand therapists are generally occupational therapists who have specialized training and experience in upper extremity function. By using specialized skills in assessment and treatment, hand therapists work with their patients to treat and prevent injuries and impairment and to restore or optimize each patient’s functional activity in daily life.

Our therapists are dedicated to working with your physician to treat your upper extremity problem and maximize your functional capacity as you recover. They focus on returning you to work, hobbies and activities of daily living. Our therapists treat at our Framingham and Milford offices and currently include:

OUR STAFF

Our staff is concerned about your needs and well-being and takes pride in offering you courteous attention and understanding of your desires. They know how to handle routine and complicated issues in a prompt, attentive manner. They excel at managing the many aspects of your care, including office visit scheduling, diagnostic testing, surgical scheduling and billing, and can assist you with questions concerning your insurance coverage. The physicians and staff of New England Hand Associates are particularly committed to helping workers’ compensation patients return to work as quickly and safely as possible. For patients, this means consideration of conservative, non-surgical treatment as well as possible surgical care. For employers, case managers and claim adjustors, this means prompt, efficient scheduling and assistance with all aspects of the patient’s care management and return to work.
