If your insurance plan requires you to pay co-payment, co-insurance, and/or deductible amounts, you will need to pay these at the time of your visit. You may also be asked to pay a surgical deposit for plans with unmet, high deductibles. For your convenience we accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Please remember, if your plan requires you to obtain a referral to New England Hand Associates, it is your responsibility to make sure this has been requested prior to your appointment with us. For more information on how HMO/Referral plans work.
Please bring your insurance card and a government-issued photo ID with you on the day of your visit. Please also bring any x-rays or MRIs/CTs (films or discs) related to the issue for which you are being seen. If you are a new patient, please arrive at least 15 minutes early to complete paperwork and pre-register. You can save time by printing out the forms and completing them before your visit. Please click here. Dress appropriately for your appointment; this will allow easy access to the injured area (such as for a shoulder examination).
Insurance coverage tends to be very complicated, so if you have a question related to your insurance, please contact our office staff at (508) 872-7881. If you have a question concerning your bill, you can speak with a representative of our billing company at (866) 831-1190. Please refer to client #418.
If your insurance is an HMO or other managed care plan that requires you to obtain a referral from your primary care physician for orthopedic care, hand therapy, or any other services we offer, this referral must be obtained before you can be seen for an office visit. Please coordinate this with your primary care physician in advance. Appointments may be rescheduled by us if the required referrals are not received in our office by the time of your appointment.
